For approximately 35 years, I have been collecting and researching on the subject of 19th century railroads. As I have a technical background in mechanical engineering, my research interests have been concentrated on the technical aspects and associated economic factors with emphasis on the early locomotive builders of the United States. On the collecting side, I began to actively acquire neat things many years ago and eventually concentrated on locomotive builders' advertising lithographs, photographs and technical books.
Also, I am currently a member of several organizations that are dedicated to the preservation and documentation of American historical prints, photographs and railroad heritage. Links to some of these organizations will be found on the links page.
I actively seek contact and communication with individuals having a like interest and who are willing to share information. And, comments from viewers of this site are always welcome.
